The topic of the internship is Development of Civil Engineering Labs and Water Quality Parameter Monitoring. Here I am working with Dr. Deepak Swami, assistant professor, School of Engineering. I have done the coding in MatLab for solving the differential equation of contaminant transport. Now I am working on how to incorporate various parameters in the code so that other thing apart from contaminant concentration can be known. I am also testing water samples which we collected from water streams coming from the hills, the hand pump water and the water from Beas river and its tributaries. After testing the samples we will propose the methods and techniques required to monitor the water quality in this region.

It was great to work there. I learnt about the drawing of the superstructure of bridge, Quality control of concrete, setting the curves and construction of Reinforced Earth(R.E.) WALL.
