Projects include development of: Long wavelength infrared thermal imaging; Microwave clearance measurement; Full-field scanning pyrometry; High temperature uncooled optical spot probes.•Project liaison for Pratt & Whitney Center of Excellence–Virginia Tech. Development tasks include: Fiber Bragg Grating distributed temperature sensing; Sapphire high temperature sensor development; Direct energy harvesting for remote sensing packages; JT15D-1 engine test for technology maturation.•Assist with Non-Interference Stress Measurement operations for PW1500G, PW1200G, PW1100G, & F135 Series Engine Validation/Certification.•Project Team Member on Advanced Instrumentation for PW1500G Highly Instrumented Turbine test. Responsible for defining instrumentation cooling requirements, installation and routing definition, & system monitoring and operation during engine test. •Business Area Export Representative: Responsible for export jurisdiction and classification determination for technology and commodity exports of AMRD and associated groups to assure compliance with corporate and US export regulations.

Assist with scenic construction, electrics, and sound for Department and visiting shows. Work as stage crew for visiting shows.

Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Patricelli ’92 Theater and the Second Stage (student-run independent theater production company) shop therein. Also responsible for the $20,000 yearly show and capital expenditures budget of Second Stage as one of the three managerial positions on staff (held Building and Maintenance position for 4 semesters, Lights and Rigging position for 1). Train students to use the shop equipment, fly rail system, lighting instruments, and lighting board (ETC Express 250). Act as liaison between Second Stage and the Wesleyan Theater Department.

Connecticut Space Grant (United Technologies Corporation Summer Aerospace Internship)Primary project: Non-Interference Stress Measurement System (NSMS) Uncertainty Evaluation Measurements via Non-Integral Vibration NSMS Testing. Developed testing protocols to evaluate the uncertainty of Pratt & Whitney’s NSMS system; investigated Line Probe optical response to evaluate the uncertainty introduced by the probes into the NSMS system; calibrated Linipot Capacitance Probes to supplier data; and assisted in NSMS stand setup for Hamilton Sundstrand Ram Air Fan for the Boeing 787.
