As Manager for Regulatory Affairs gained good understanding of the political policy landscape especially in environmental issues such as CO2, Air Quality, End of Life Vehicles (ELV) and Hazardous Materials and the associated impacts of BREXIT. As well as becoming chair of the SMMT Environmental Policy Committee (EPC) in 2013 has also been a member of the CAV Forum, London Automotive Forum, SMMT BREXIT Task Force.• Worked in association with the Opel/Vauxhall European and GM global Government Relations teams playing a key role in understanding the extremely complex developing automotive landscape and engaging with policy makers and regulators on the challenging regulatory challenges facing the industry. • Engaged directly with government officials on areas such as the setting of EU Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) CO2 standards, Air Quality issues, EV incentives, CAV testing and implementation, the new Worldwide Light-vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), Real Driving Emissions (RDE) and eCall regulations• Brought together experts from within the GM organization to liaise directly with government on complex technical engineering issues.• Recognised in the industry as an expert on the new WLTP test-cycle and its implementation especially in terms of advising different government departments of its impact and the implications for the market, taxation and consumer understanding.• In 2016, given the role of developing a strategy for European CSR. Using excellent inter-personal skills worked with the Board of Directors to create a Steering Committee with members from each of the central departments in Opel Germany successfully formalizing objectives & KPIs for each of the subject areas.• Has successfully implemented environmental initiatives within the Vauxhall UK operation:- Vauxhall's Scrappage Scheme- “Green Griffin” engaging employees in environmental issues - Vauxhall Wood (planting more than 8,000 trees)- Cycle2Work scheme- Costa Coffee cup recycling

With the EV market still in its infancy at this time, played a pioneering role in the industry taking on responsibility for development and implementation of the Ampera launch in the UK.• Developed and implemented Ampera launch strategy across the whole UK organisation and dealer network including negotiating partnership agreements with EV charging point providers• Succeeded in securing eligibility for the Government Plug-in Car Grant (PiCG) from its inception• Became the “Voice of the Ampera” conducting TV, radio, web and written media interviews and presenting at conferences, events and trade shows• Was the subject of a Prestige Lecture tour of the UK for the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).• Chaired the SMMT EV Committee bringing the industry together to openly collaborate in the best interest of developing the marketAlso took on responsibility for Environmental Strategy
