Service which, during 2011/12, provided advice and support to 1369 small and very new organisations;• Overseeing the set-up and development of ‘Birmingham Healthwatch’ – the new, independent consumer champion for health and social care;• Management of ‘People First Birmingham’, a user-led self-advocacy service for learning disabled adults in Birmingham;• Successful re-launch and management of the Birmingham Health Local Involvement Network (LINk) which included an overhaul of governance arrangements;• Management of highly successful ESF/NOMS-funded offender management programme, which placed ex-offenders into supported volunteering programmes – targets were exceeded;• Management of contract with Heart of Birmingham PCT to develop and deliver an accredited ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ training programme and toolkit for frontline professionals. Over 100 people have currently been trained;• Management of Third Sector Health contract with Birmingham & Solihull Cluster, focusing on Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) engagement. The work we have undertaken with Sandwell & West Birmingham CCG during 2012/13 is considered emerging best practice;• Management of 2 EU Lifelong Learning-funded volunteering exchange programmes; one focused on the promotion of sport volunteering; the other promoting volunteering opportunities and experiences for older people;• Contract management and compliance responsibility for Birmingham City Council’s Third Sector Support contract 2012-15;• Member of corporate bid-writing team which has recently been successful in winning major Big Lottery Fund consortia-based programmes including 'Talent Match' and 'Fulfilling Lives: Supporting People with Complex Needs'. -
