Key responsibility areas were the day-to-day running of the school and internal communication of related information; data, curriculum and timetable management and development.Responsibilities included:• Leading curriculum development, data and school information systems; timetabling and adapting structure and strategy to deliver results in response to new performance measures. Set-up and train staff in SIMS, including Discover and Nova-T • Creating and designing School and Staff models for efficiency, support for non-permanent staff and recruitment to deal with staffing shortfall• Raising achievement, including heading up the ‘Pixl’ strategy and interventions based on a sharp understanding of school progress data, leading to a 10% increase in 5A-C including Maths and English (2014)• Leading systems and processes within the Academy to promote effective and efficient work practices; setting up data management systems to export and upload to other online systems like SISRA and carrying out appropriate staff training• Training and development for leadership and systems; line-management of departmental areas and development of associated systems to promote accountability • Leading and managing Admissions to raise pupil numbers entering the Academy.
