Global head of strategic planning, analytics and performance reporting, overseeing the financial close, analytics, planning and forecasting of a highly successful EUR 3 billion turnover business with invested assets in excess of EUR 720 billion spread across 200 global legal entities acting in the capacity of a deputy CFO, supported by 140 onshore and offshore finance staff including 15 global direct reports. Additionally, providing regional CFO oversight for the UK AM franchise, covering 5 regulated UK entities. Supported the carve out of AM from AWM, and led a significant part of the DWS Frankfurt listing. Deutsche Bank (DB) is one of the world’s largest global universal banks with turnover of over EUR 32 billion, total assets of over EUR 1,700 billion, & 31 million clients operating in over 70 countries. Asset Management (AM) is one of three divisional pillars of DB, and ranks among the 10 largest bank owned asset mangers worldwide with over EUR 700 billion of assets under management. AM provides global investment solutions to institutions, retail clients, family offices & intermediaries across all major asset classes including infrastructure funds.

Promoted to Global AWM Finance Director to stabilise financial reporting and controls for Global AWM CFO, driving improvement to quality and timing, whilst continuing to parallel support UK Wealth Management business. Global Finance Director to EUR 5.4 billion turnover business, covering 300+ legal entities, 6,000+ staff, supported by over 300 onshore and offshore Finance staff across the globe. Reporting to AWM Deputy CFO, and role additional to UK PWM Finance Director.

Finance oversight to UK Wealth Management franchise with a turnover of EUR 200m including legal entity directorship of 2 UK regulated entities (CF10) as well as finance oversight to a number of onshore and offshore entities. Finance support provided to management team, legal entity boards including NEDs, audit, tax, treasury and regulators. Promoted to Finance Director including Tilney Group at 33.Reporting to the PWM CFO.

Business performance stakeholder management support to franchise, building out offshore client booking capabilities, new product approval, planning & forecasting. Business performance stakeholder management support to Cardales Real Estate Franchise (Commercial Property Fund Management).Reporting to the UK PWM FD.

• Reporting to the Finance Director I supported the turnaround of breakeven business post 2002 downturn to an EBITDA of £65m and turnover of £300m+ (2002/08).• In-house support to buy and build strategy including due diligence and financial close for extended consolidated Tilney Group covering 15+ entities across the UK, Monaco, Ireland & Bermuda. o Sale of Tilney Group to Deutsche Bank for £355m (2006). o Sale of Tilney Group to Bridgepoint Equity Partners and management buyout for £110m including £65m debt finance from Bank of Scotland (2005). The sale was the first private equity backed wealth MBO in the UK. o 5 strategic acquisitions in excess of £50m (2003/05). o Outsourcing and sale of back office function to Bank of New York converting £4m p.a. of fixed cost into a variable cost platform that could support buy and build strategy (2002). • Implemented redesign of month end reporting and process to meet DB (2007), and Private Equity/Debt partner requirements including loan covenant compliance (2005). • Promoted to Group Financial Controller at 28 in 2005.

Experience:-Audit assurance to owner managed businesses with a turnover from £1m-£200m, including statutory account preparation as a UK 200 firm.Preparation of corporate and personal tax annual returns and computations.Special work covering financial forecasts and due diligence.
