About Ian Bigden

I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I spent two years as an associate engineer with Mitsubishi Power Americas assisting engineers in the exhaust, inlet, and structural group in designing components for natural gas turbine power generation projects of $100+ million. In September 2019, I decided to switch to selling cars at Classic Mazda in Orlando in order to develop my interpersonal skills.I moved to Knoxville, TN to enjoy the mountains and great driving roads in November 2021. I served as a project engineer with Greenworks Tools where I took the initiative to redesign the parking brake lever of one of their popular tractor-style lawnmowers to alleviate customer complaints. I also led the task of procuring shipping crates for our lawnmowers that would meet all relevant DOT and other specifications, as well as provide ease of use, tear-down, and clean-up by the end user.In late 2022, I joined the sub-assembly engineering team at DENSO Manufacturing in Maryville, TN as a process engineer, ensuring quality parts came off our assembly lines and minimizing waste in manpower and materials.Currently I am a technical salesperson with CaptiveAire Systems, providing top notch solutions for commercial HVAC and kitchen applications across East Tennessee and west North Carolina.
