Sydney Ferries Management initiated a Fleet Replacement Project to replace its aging ferry fleet. This project was developed to the stage where a highly detailed Business Case was presented to the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry is still evaluating this project. I was engaged as the Operational Requirements Manager for this project. In this role I assisted in the development of the business case for the project. I assisted in the development of the specifications for the two classes in the proposed fleet. Researched different aspects of the project and was engaged extensively in stakeholder management. I also assisted in the project progressing through the NSW Department of Commerce Gateway review possess.

In continuous service with the Sydney Ferries organization from 1986 to 2008 employed as a Ferry Captain. Over this period I was engaged largely in the Inner Harbour service being trained on all inner harbour classes including the First Fleet Class, the Lady Classes Nothcott & Herron, the SuperCat and HarbourCat classes. I have also been in command of vessels no longer in service with service Sydney Ferries such as the Lady Woodward class.
