Focussed on three key deliverables in 2024:• Developing a two stream AI strategy and roadmap, one being the introduction of AI into research methods and tools by the Foundation and its funded partners, the other being its introduction into the corporate workspace, transforming productivity and ways of working.• Building the case for change and delivering the programme for a new future facing research platform, along with a revised operating model, and a workforce that has the skills and ambition to leverage the potential of digital and data in health and care research.• Implementing improvements in usability, security, costs, and productivity to the current research platform.

Experienced not only in digital, but also policy, prevention, outcomes, risks, and ethics.Building Digital:• Rescued faltering program, mitigated board-level risks, and secured £44m investment.• Delivered the Beta PaaS for the national Secure Data Environment, leading a dynamic team of 60 during supplier transitions.• Silenced operational threats to NHS data collections by securing £6.5m for legacy-to-cloud migration, ensuring scalability.Managing Cloud:• Saved an estimated £2m annually from cloud expenses.• Optimised platform architectures.• Implemented FinOps strategies and open-source solutions.Creating Solutions:• Led complex nationwide datasets for Covid response.• Engineered standards and apps, bridging local authorities to reduce bed blocking.• Championed data sharing to curb community violence across 300 local partnerships.• Amplified patient-rated outcomes.Establishing Partnerships:• Unique evaluation databases - ECHILD with DfE and ONS.• Integrated systems, staff, and patients for enduring healthcare equality - 250k global patients of the MoD.• Digital health initiatives - £21m MoJ digital BC for the 1.5m in detention/ custody annually.• Reduce costs - NICE clinical indicators partnership saving £250k annually.• Expertise for global health programs - FCDO 'Better Health' programme in Vietnam.Ensuring Oversight:• Security - devising threat models that balance data security, access, and public trust.• Policy - replacing outdated national policy for improved public health surveillance.• Risk - creating governance frameworks to mitigate risks in data sharing.• Compliance - assuring NHS coding as open data and Apps against medical regulations.• Commercial - pioneering agile procurement through dynamic purchasing frameworks.
