Experienced Product Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the music industry. Since leaving college I embarked on my career in the music industry working for a small independent distribution company based in the south of England. Here I gained experience working in the production of analog and digital electronic keyboards and sound reinforcement. During this time I also gained experience working in the service department handling customer repairs and technical inquiries. Within two years I was heading up the service department.Having quickly outgrown my position, I starting working for a global brand working in their busy service department. This gave me a broader experience and the opportunity to deal with pro-players as well as a larger base end-user network. During this time I gained further knowledge and skills with both analog and digital technologyAfter two years, I moved to another major UK distributor where I took on the role of service manager. Within 2 months, the level of service was improved beyond recognition having quickly solved many issues and efficiency problems. Here I gained further experience with early digital multitrack recorders as well as working with the parent company development team to improve products. My next step was to work as a self-employed service engineer securing contracts with five key industry players. I continued to run my own business for 13 years before taking on my current role with KORG.Over the last 11 years, I have gained further experience within a marketing and commercial role, including budgeting, stock control, product development, sound design, video production. With a strong technical background, I have a rare combination of skills that allow me to excel in my role having a complete understanding of all areas of my industry. I like problem-solving and have a "can-do" attitude, enjoy working both independently and within a team environment.
