I would focus on North American programs that would require working outside of FOE process and also develop new working relationships and processes to successfully deliver vehicles for test on time. I regularly support the team out of usual office hours due to the time differences and have no issue with supporting as required to get the job done as quickly as possible and have also visited FNA on several occasions to support the above. As a senior member of the team I have regularly covered my supervisor’s role when he’s not available for extended periods including representing the department in senior management meetings. In 2019 I led the task of addressing a significant external non-compliance in the VEV T&D audit process and eventually had the issue closed. Show less -

Within this role I was responsible for assigning people to suitable roles and managing their development and performance. As well as manpower, each team consisted of many physical resources. These included vehicle fleets, weapons, IT equipment and other hardware that needed continued maintenance that had to be documented to an exact standard, recorded and inspected by different levels of management. When on exercise or deployment I would also have to manage shift patterns and even co-ordinate the resupply of food and drink. In 2009 I spent 12 months with a regular regiment as a SNCO based initially in Germany but then moving to Afghanistan managing a troop of regular soldiers responsible for the infrastructure of comms for Brigade HQ for British Forces. The job of commanding regular soldiers as a part time soldier was initially difficult and many barriers were in place including preconceptions of lack of ability, technical knowledge and even physical capability but I worked twice as hard as my peers to show my capabilities and the situation was eventually very rewarding. All the above has developed me into a confident manager of people and resources. Not only do I have years of experience within Ford but with my military background I’ve attended some of the best personal development courses in the world. I have managed workload, people and resources in the most hostile of environments where errors could literally mean life or death and I’ve have taken these skills and applied them to any situation as required.
