I have 38 years of experience working on IBM mainframe systems in various positions.My career has followed a classical path, starting as a computer operator and then moving into the roles of analyst programmer, systems programmer, and manager.In 2004, I moved to Australia and worked as an operations analyst and information developer before gaining employment in 2006 with IBM Australia, working as a function tester and systems programmer.In addition to my day-to-day duties at IBM, I was involved in several career development initiatives, which included being a z/VM Lab Advocate, University Ambassador, z/VM technical presenter, and mentor to new graduate employees.I moved back to the U.K. in 2017 to take up a new role as a RACF Mainframe Technician with Lloyds Banking Group.In 2020, I joined 21st Century Software as a senior QA engineer, working on test automation for new and existing products on z/OS and z/VM.During the past 15 years of my career, I have worked with IBM security products in development and banking environments, giving me an in-depth understanding of challenges faced by companies in the area of cyber security.
