If business development, marketing and product development had a weird child it would be my role. I sit at the intersection of what exists today and what is possible tomorrow. Fundamentally, my role is to drive growth. I am focussed on defining the long- and short-term strategies needed to serve our customers and their needs. I spend my time learning who our customers are and what they are looking for. I look to understand our customer, for opportunities to expand our offerings, to build partnerships and to share our message.I have a deep understanding of goal setting and leadership management. I build partnerships to facilitate growth. I build brand awareness and brand differentiators to position the company in the right segment. But at my core I am a builder of teams – I grow teams and team members.I could pepper this section of my profile with terms like drive innovation, manage budgets, putting efficient workflows into place, develop goals, oversee resource allocations, but it really doesn’t speak to what I do. I identify opportunities, find people who will help develop those opportunities, set goals and KPI’s, serve the team doing the work and give credit at the end. Give someone a mission, make sure they know the objective and how they will be evaluated, give them everything they need to be successful and say thank you at the end. That’s who I am and that’s what I do.
