Warehouse ConsultancyTottenham Hotspur Football Club Oct 2016 - Dec 2016London, London, GbIn preparation for the move to the new stadium which was going to result in a step-change in retail volume & turnover, I was appointed for a 12-week consultancy project to: - Determine improvements to their current warehouse operations & conduct a cost-benefit decision matrix weighted analysis vs a 3PL solution servicing Physical Retail, E-Commerce, Support of the Club and the Academy.- I produced a detailed brief that allowed a 3-way 3PL tender process and rigorous stress testing of those quotes. - This culminated in a written report, strategic recommendations and an executive summary that was presented to the board. -
Managing DirectorHudson Shoe Agencies Jun 2011 - Jun 2016London, London, GbAn innovative men's and women's fashion footwear business operating in the premium mass market across both wholesale and retail. - I built the team out from 16 to 32 people and put in place a clear simple strategic plan that everyone was aligned behind, felt ownership of and were accountable for; revolving around 3 central pillars: Direct to Consumer retail via e-commerce and in-store pop-ups, International growth and Brand Segmentation.- This created a business that was diverse, de-risked and highly scalable.- Over a 3yr period, we increased e-commerce turnover 15-fold and it contributed 40% of total net profit. - Opened a US subsidiary & a US-based 3PL warehousing & logistics which powered the US to be 32% of worldwide e-comm mix after just 3 months and supported the 2nd largest wholesale market outside of the UK. - Grew International Sales by over 40% alongside a growing topline, resulting in export representing over half of annual turnover. - I led the successful operational and logistical development of India as a major sourcing partner and coordinated the movement of the factory that represented over 30% of total production, from UAE to Sri Lanka. -
