Worked in the HPE Global Product Engineering Department (GPE). Developed a daily build report generator in Visual Basic (VBA) and accompanying entry report form which used collected data to monitor yields and identify issues throughout the production process worldwide. Created reports based on data received by all HPE and vendor production sites/plants. Completed the project and saved the company from hiring a contract engineer. Documented and transferred maintenance of the report generator to a project engineer in HPE GPE in California. Coordinated with other HPE sites in China, Scotland and Singapore to implement and integrate the report generator. GPE aggregates the data and generates the reports which are used by the production engineers to monitor and improve the manufacturing process.

Worked in the HP Servers Mechanical Engineering Department – Packaging Engineering. Led multiple projects. Designed a specification for a new pallet and tested new pallet use in Houston. Created specification, designed, prototyped and finalized production packaging of a 2U Server. Created new safety standards for transporting a Server rack with a pallet jack. Designed new shipping crate to use less resources (wood). Performed tests on a new foam packaging which resulted in cost savings of approximately $200K a week. Gained practical experience working in the workshop/prototype lab. All design done using AutoCAD 2014, Excel and PIM (proprietary HP software).

Worked in the HP Servers Mechanical Engineering Department. Performed Bosco testing of hard drives to determine how vibration affects their degradation. Used Pro-E (AutoCAD) to design different hardware parts for servers and hard drives (e.g. locking system for adding a part, back plate that the server is attached). Also performed testing on the mylar insulation at the bottom of the servers to determine their conductivity. Was given the opportunity to design a part and prototype it on the 3D printer.

With partner, Trevor Sivin, developed and delivered a presentation using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere to meet the specifications defined by the marketing manager, Allan Rasquinha.
