Engineering Lead for the Mining West division of ALS Industrial and the National Condition Monitoring Technical lead for ALS Industrial’s Mining Division – one of the largest service providers of Condition Monitoring and Engineering / reliability services in Australia. At a local level I managed the day to day running of a team of 25+ Condition Monitoring Engineers and Technicians, ensuring all aspects of services delivered meet or exceeded clients’ expectations. To do this effectively I was often required to provide guidance to other reliability professionals in the mining, production and oil and gas industries as well as our own personnel. I was also responsible to the company to ensure that the services provided by the Condition Monitoring team, return a revenue and profit which is in line with the shareholders and companies expectations. At a national level my role was responsible for leading a team of Technical experts which ensured the quality of the Condition Monitoring services that ALS Industrial provides,this included establishing standards, procedures, providing technical guidance and performing technical audits for the use of the Condition Monitoring Teams across Australia.In this role I am also required to review and approve all draft procedures relating to condition monitoring and some engineering disciplines before these documents become approved procedures.

In addition to my role as a Senior Engineer I was also the single point of contact for a Major Iron ore miner, ensured a timely and quality service delivery, while meeting all client KPI’s and managing costs to provide good value for money to the client while maintaining our required return on sales. This included managing up to 20 personnel to the provide Condition Monitoring, Relief and Engineering services with a total invoice value between $350 $450k per month.

Senior Engineer and Management Team member.In this role I provided engineering support and supervision for Condition Monitoring (CM), reliability and engineering services that were provided to clients in the Mining, Manufacturing Oil and Gas and Power industries. This role included;Supervising integrated Condition Monitoring Programmes using data from several technologies and sources. Condition Monitoring Engineer, providing condition monitoring and Engineering services and solutions to clients in the production ,Mining and Oil and Gas industries

Responsible for; reliability, maintenance strategies and budgets, new projects, maintenance personnel, shut down planning, and assisting in the scheduling of construction / commissioning during major capital works to expand the existing plant and double production capacity.

Responsible for ensuring the safety of the vessel and crew by monitoring/ maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling all of the ships systems as required. These included; propulsion, steering, hydraulic, pumping, refrigeration, sewage, compressed air, steam, power, all safety, generation and electrical systems. Also responsible for the supervision of sub-contractors and shore based maintenance crews when they were employed, typically during dry docking.
