I was headhunted to join this company and saw it as an excellent opportunity and a step up from where I was. Unfortunately 2 months into the role the company entered administration and were forced to cease trading. I have been asked to stay on by Delloits (The receivers) to assist with the winding down of the company to reclaim all assets.

This is a very diverse role, similar to my previous employment although at a more senior level. I not only provide support to my clients I also account manage and promote MTS's services from sales to installations. I currently mentor and co-manage a group of 4 engineers. When I am not on site at one of my clients I usually work remotely from my home office. My current client base consists of small - medium businesses right through to Educational level (Schools / colleges) I am more than happy to discuss this role in more detail.

I was involved with all aspects of Network Infrastructure, together with providing full support to customers whether it is with remotely connecting to their network or attending site. The support that I provided was 1st, 2nd and 3rd line, in addition to this I also made recommendations to the customer on how to increase their efficiency of the infrastructure. I was involved in the planning and implementation stage of any new or additional solutions to the infrastructure. The role was quiet diverse due to this I am happy to discuss this further.

Providing 1st and 2nd line support for the company, my position requires me to troubleshoot and solve all hardware and software, PC based faults, as well as, being responsible for the general 1st line administration and documentation. In addition, I hold responsibility for installation and extension of the network and telephone system. I also recommend and provide quotes for any electrical equipment required by the company. Due to the varied nature of my role, initiative, organisation and planning are prerequisite.

The role included order processing, customer enquiries and complaints. The position gave me the opportunity to gain experience in customer care and maintaining exceptionally high standards.

Duties included servicing, assembling and calibrating note readers. While the work was fairly repetitive, I had no difficulty in understanding the complexity of these machines.

My main objective was to deal with 1st line, telephone based computer queries. Quick, clear and concise thinking was required to fix a variety of faults. My role entailed logging calls on the helpdesk and then passing them to the 2nd line of support if deeper technical knowledge was required. During my time at his company, I gained a vast knowledge of HP3000. in addition to my Helpdesk Operator role, I was also involved in the day to day running of the company, this involved backing up the system every night, sending BAC's payments to the bank, collating and sorting the print outs. One of my major achievements at Hanson was my core involvement in setting up the Email system for different regions of the company

My main duty was the preparation of orders for distribution anywhere in the UK. Attention to detail and quick preparation was essential in this role.

After a successful period of work experience, Mixlance recruited me; My duties included general office tasks and assistance in the construction of Batch Heating plants. In June 1997 I was promoted to work in the Business Development area of the company. This position not only included my previous duties but also extended my experiences to the financial side of the company.
