Ian is an award winning Documentary director and Film & TV producer, with experience in all aspects of production, development, distribution and financial management. He has a unique perspective in the projects he works on, having also worked for several years in the Not For Profit sector. He is is able to bring the 2 worlds together, making films on issues in our world and his passion is creating screen media that will make a difference in our world.He has also directed several documentaries, and many corporate and commercial films over many years, as well as having experience with social media and fundraising for charities. Ian is currently working on several film and TV projects as a producer & director. His last feature documentary Humble Hope, won several US awards, and was nominated for best feature doc & best director at the Southampton International Film Festival in the UK. It also came 3rd in the ReelHeart Festival in Toronto. It has also been selected as a finalist in the Singapore Independent Film Festival.He is a member of AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema Television and the Arts).Last year he co-directed a 2 part series called "How can it Be", a reality Documentary on Mental Health and DNA. It was aired on Qantas airlines domestic and international.One of the projects Ian is developing is a film about Modern Slavery which affects over 40 million people in our world...every 4 secs someone becomes a slave to another in our modern world! He is also looking at several projects around issues including domestic violence & bullying.He also has several feature scripts, a thriller and a faith based film based on a true story set in WW2 which he is looking for a producing partner so that he can direct as well as a bigger budget biopic.He is also available as a freelance producer/director on film, TV, or corporate presentations, and he will bring a wealth of knowledge and creative ideas.
