In a nutshell, I believe the following words / phrases apply to me: versatile, dynamic, resourceful, conscientious, good-humored, communicative, honest, and of course modest.I have contributed to the success of various companies, in various industries, by working in a number of IT roles, including:• Business Analyst (Agile and Waterfall methodologies.)• Project Manager (PRINCE2, DSDM)• Developer (Python, C# / .NET, JavaScript, VB6, SQL Server, MySQL)• Test Manager• IT Support Operative• Making a mean pot of coffee (I probably should have put that at the top.)The list of software packages, vendors, and processes that I have worked with is longer than I remember, and even if I could, it would be excruciatingly boring. I will spare you from that.Although a number of companies have invested in me, by way of training courses to enhance my analysis, management, and technical skills, most of my learning has been proactive. I bought books (remember those?), watched hours of videos, read articles, and most importantly, I tried stuff myself.Over the course of my career, especially in Business Analyst / Project Manager roles, I have learned that having technical and process skills is only part of the challenge. Working well with people is vital, and I believe I do. I am proud of my track record of building solid bridges with other members of project teams and departments, especially when sometimes they were not exactly all on the same page to begin with.I pride myself on being someone who looks for opportunities and can find solutions to identified problems.In 2016, I left a lucrative freelance position, in the UK, to start a new life in America. My financial position meant I was able to focus on personal pursuits, without employment, but I have maintained a keen interest in IT with personal projects, and have skilled-up in many areas.
