I am a fourth-year student in the Justice Studies Program at the University of Guelph-Humber. I expect to graduate in April 2023. In April 2023, I will graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph and a college diploma in Police Foundations from the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. I have extensive work experience in a variety of fields that have involved different skill sets. I have acquired significant experience in customer service, customer satisfaction and interpersonal communication through my work with the City of Toronto as a Summer Camp Counselor, Site Supervisor and Customer Service Representative, as well as through work in both the retail and hospitality sectors. Furthermore, through my varied work experience, I have obtained strong oral communication skills that I have utilized extensively to serve customers and members of the public with diplomacy and integrity, as well as interpersonal problem-solving skills. Due to my work experience being primarily based within the service industry, I have become adept at developing interpersonal/professional relationships and efficiently fulfilling diverse requests from members of the public, customers, senior staff and service providers. Additionally, I have acquired extensive administrative experience through my work as a Site Supervisor and Customer Service Representative with the City of Toronto and the Ministry of the Attorney General in a Court Administrative Assistant role. These employment opportunities have afforded me a diverse range of office and criminal court administrative experience concerning filing and processing documents and reports, as well as program development/management and facility operations. In conjunction with my education at the University of Guelph-Humber, these positions have also furthered my experience with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual communications technology, Point of Sale Systems and facility registration/management systems. Furthermore, my time in these positions and with the University of Guelph-Humber has provided me with great attention to detail, professional experience in rapid and accurate note-taking/documentation and excellent time management/organizational skills. Lastly, I have become comfortable working on and completing projects either individually or on multidisciplinary teams with minimum supervision, as well as ensuring that deadlines and changing priorities are met.
