I am a Metallurgical Engineer with over 43 years of experience in Steelmaking and Casting. Expert knowledge in BOF, EAF, LMF, and Casting . Operational Management expertise as Superintendent of Steelmaking and Casting of a 2.6 M ton shop producing hot band, cold roll, plate and bloom product for SBQ application. Nucor role as Day Shift Supervisor Casting in Darlington now grown to over 50% SBQ casting 7x7 sections for free machining applications, aluminum killed, boron hardenable, boron stabilized and high carbon rod for tire bead/cord. Held various other positions in Metallurgy from Plant Metallurgist, Divisional Metallurgist, BOF Metallurgist and Process Metallurgist.Worked with our team in Arkansas continuing to improve our quality and safety in our MS, LMF and CSP. Ability to take steel application needs and select/develop grade to fit needs of the customer.Strong leadership and communication skills. Safety of my team is number one day in and day out....nothing, absolutely nothing is more important than safety! Now retired and interested in consulting.
