Facilitate military, trade and physical training for members of the TA (Terriatorial Army) for them to remain current in their trade and military knowledge in preparation for deployment on Operations (Ops). This involves booking facilites, training areas, equipment and instructors, if outside assistance is required and preparing lessons. Maintaining via any communication means available communications with my Squadron to inform them what, when and where and this enhances the team spirit within the Squadron.

Posted to 1 Battalion REME as the RLD Commander. My responsibilities included managing Command Troop who oversaw all the installation maintenance for all the communication platforms within the Battalion from wheeled to Track. Being the LO (Liaison Officer) for the Battalion at Brigade for all land communication infrastructure within the barracks from WAN and LAN to telephones and answering to the Commanding Officer (CO). Deployed to Afghanistan with the Unit to maintain communications and infrastructure within Helmand Province.

Portadown And Lisbon

Maintained and Managed personnel within System Control (SysCon) room in Portadown and Mobile Radio Services Desk in the Network Control Center (NCC) in Lisbon. Trained, deployed and commanded as second-in-command Brigade Commanders Tactical Group during marching seasons within the Province. Managed a computer communication mapping system for the province in NCC and oversaw the initial and continuation training for it. Populated the Royal Signals Rigging Course for All Arms Personnel working with Army Personnel Careers (APC) Glasgow, prior to course loading by APC.
