CurrentI am a Partner in Arthur Cox’s Asset Management & Investment Funds Group with experience in all aspects of Irish fund law and regulation. With experience in both practice and industry and having lived and worked in multiple jurisdictions including Dublin, Cayman, BVI and Luxembourg, my particular focus is on alternative investments including all aspects of AIFMD. I work with hedge funds, managers of private equity, real asset, credit, and liquid alternative funds and hold their hands through all aspects of formation, authorisation, launch and ongoing obligations. I have advised many clients, both borrower and lender side, in complex fund finance transactions in Ireland and I am fortunate to work with some of this jurisdictions foremost experts in this field. I have extensive experience in ETF’s having acted for some of the world’s leading innovators in ETF products in the establishment and ongoing regulation of their Irish operations.I have worked in the investment fund’s industry both in practice and in-house roles for over 20 years including as product counsel for a leading global asset manager, as a senior partner in one of the Cayman Islands leading law firms where I headed their mutual fund practice and now as a senior partner in one of Ireland largest law firms.I have spoken at numerous industry conferences on asset management topics including AIFMD law and regulation, the ICAV, corporate governance and private equity and most recently on Brexit and its implications for our industry. I have served on a number of committees and working groups of Irish Funds including as a current member of the AIF Regulation & Innovation Working Group and I have had the privilege to serve as a member of the Global Board of Directors of Hedge Funds Care and as the Chair of Hedge Funds Care Ireland.
