I am a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeking graduate opportunities in Music Technology and employment in Software Development.Having originally studied Computer Science: Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland at College Park as a freshman, I decided to transfer to UIUC's Computer Science + Music program in the fall 2022 semester to develop my interests in music technology and production. Since then, I have pursued a variety of opportunities to deepen my knowledge of music technology and media production, including producing tracks for UIUC's Hip Hop Collective (known as "HIDEOUT"), serving as the Technology Director for PizzaFM, engineering sessions of my school's hip-hop podcast Campus Culture, and serving as an Assistant Engineer Intern at Stonecutter Recording Studios. Despite my commitment to pursuing music technology, I have maintained my connection to computer science through my experience as a CS 233 Course Assistant, a teaching role that tested my programming knowledge. As a student, I have found that I have a passion for learning and teaching. I have experience in many roles which relied on my ability to teach, and these roles cultivated a desire to explore this professionally. As a result, I intend to pursue graduate school as a way to foster both my desire to teach others and my love for music technology.
