Who am I?I currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. I have spent most of my professional career in the trades and fabrication. I've worked in residential remodeling, custom furniture design, and various types of fabrication. I specialized in woodworking, welding, and finishing. As far as hobbies, I love playing music. I'm immersed in traditional Appalachian banjo and fiddle.I recently made the transition from the trades to the tech world; specifically, UX/UI design. I'm excited to start my career in this booming industry!My GoalsI'm currently enrolled in DesignLab's UX Academy. UX/UI design appealed to me due to the creative outlet it provides, as well as the strategic problem solving component. I'm an empathetic person who likes to try to meet people's needs through my skills and creativity. My goal as a UX/UI designer is to use my empathy, creativity, and attention to detail to solve people's problems and help come up with a solution to those who are in need.I also intend to get involved in the service design industry as this is a great way to give back to my community.
