The existing approach of using the Builder gem togenerate the XML feeds was very memory intensive, so I migrated to using a templating system that allowed the XML feeds to be written in chunks instead of having to keep the entire structure in memory before committing it to disk. Additionally, we offered Craigslist job postings for which I built a scrapers to determine available locations and prices as Craigslist did not offer any API for this functionality.
