I am MoMA’s Director of Collection & Exhibition Information, the department primarily responsible for administering and maintaining the institution’s collection database (TMS). I joined MoMA in 2006 as a member of the Imaging & Visual Resources department and transitioned to my current department in 2007. During my first 7 years, I held every position within CEI until I was appointed department head in 2013.Since then, I have overseen the migration of the entirety of the Department of Film’s collection, and the Museum Archive Image Database (MAID) as well as MoMA and PS1’s full exhibition histories. My team and I have worked to expand both the access to and the capabilities of the museum’s collection management system, working with nearly every department across the institution to create and streamline workflows and reporting, and leveraging their wealth of data to help inform decisions about collection stewardship, exhibition planning, and a variety of other critical projects. I've also recently begun guest lecturing at NYU, sharing my knowledge of collection and exhibition management with graduate students interested in professions at cultural institutions.
