Counsellor: using the person centred approach for young people and also Adults

I have six years experience of transporting (occasionally boisterous) students and college staff, including those with special needs, this involved carrying students to and from outlying areas or from local transport links on the daily shuttle bus service, working within a team of 5 other college minibus drivers. During the day regularly transported special needs students and adults between the college campuses and local day centres, including day trips and special visits, planning the most appropriate route. This included moving people in wheelchairs and associated use of various types of wheelchair lifts and hoists, on many occasions considered a carer on the risk assessment documentsExperience of driving several different types of minibus depending on the number of passengers, as well as the college van. Daily duties also included carrying post, parcels and money between the 5 college campuses and also heavier goods and materials from local suppliers to the campuses whenever necessary, using the van.
