WeaveGrid brings together utilities, vehicle manufacturers, EV support equipment providers, and drivers to solve systems-level grid problems and enable transportation electrification. The Strategy and Success team focuses on pre- and post-sale activities that minimize risk and maximize operational value. Notable workstreams include program design, enrollment strategy, and solution architecture. Internally, the team is responsible for operational efficiency and process design.

The Opower cloud platform is part of Oracle Software´s suite of energy industry solutions. Opower combines big data and behavioral science to help utilities equitably meet demand side management goals.The Opower Solutions Team sits between the sales, product, and delivery teams. Team members describe technology and articulate its value, determine solution scope and measurement strategy, manage complex projects, and close technical sales with an eye towards minimizing delivery risk. For three years my role spanned work with utilities from the Pacific Northwest to New England. The following two years were marked by leadership on Opower's business and regulatory efforts in European and Middle Eastern markets, in addition to my American portfolio. Additional responsibilities during my time at Opower included team onboarding and internal process design. Subject matter expertise included behavioral science, energy end-use disaggregation, data visualization, and sales process management.

The Duke MEM program boasts a curriculum focused on pairing technical acumen with the practical skills needed to address challenges outside of academia. My own focus was in the energy space and included coursework in geospatial and systems modelling, energy accessibility, and policy framework analysis. In addition to a degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment I received an International Development Policy Certificate from Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy.

Through college and graduate school I worked in a series of part time roles, assistantships, and the like at organizations including Bellhop Moving, Footer's Catering, UPS, Ungraded Produce, and within both Duke University and the University of Denver.
