Historically, my experience is rooted in B2B marketing and communications. I have operated strategically as part of a senior management team but am equally adept at tactical delivery, joining the two seamlessly. During my early career, I enjoyed roles across manufacturing and engineering sectors, both in large corporates and SMEs. I also have international marketing experience from my time with Signfix, Rotork and Dalkia.From the early part of the century it was the FM/building services and energy services market that held my focus. Then, in 2020, I took a career side-step when I joined The Brain Tumour Charity in Farnborough. This was a conscious decision to find a new challenge, in an area where there was the opportunity to find purpose, job satisfaction and personal reward, in a form other than cash. Alas, the the pandemic hit, I left the Charity sector and drove a Tesco van for a few months to earn cash and become the fittest I've been in many years. Soon, the old Built-environment sector came calling again and I found myself a portfolio marketeer, working part-time and freelance with old colleagues at OakTree Power and Q3 Services. It was a great arrangement that suited me well during the changed world of work that was forced on us by #Covid19.Since then, and approaching pensionable age, I cut the workload to the one part-time role with Q3, as part of a conscious decision to stage my transition to retirement.
