Worked in the development of store environments and led a team of 8 Design Managers. Projects would be identified by major stakeholders for that financial year e.g. the delivery of a new Optician, Café, updates to corporate branding or signage packages. Worked cross-functionally with teams across the business to deliver the brief, including Corporate Purchasing, Commercial Categories, Marketing and Design Standards as well as any external agencies and suppliers. Major success was a monthly upskilling forum whereby Design Managers would present and upskill internal stakeholders, Implementation and Retail teams, suppliers and architects on new designs and up and coming projects. Key role as Lead Design Implementation Managers to deliver 110 new stores, 200 refresh stores and manage 4 other design managers. Scheme duration was approximately 2 – 5 weeks dependent on the complexity of the site with weekly site visits to monitor site progression.
