Through his experience as a software engineer to co-founding two industry leading companies, Ian is a natural-born entrepreneur with a drive to revolutionize technology. In 2011, Ian co-founded PlacePay, a robust payment platform that delivers flexible payments to residential real estate and co-working operators across the country. What began as a boutique service provider quickly grew to serve the industry’s demand. Today, PlacePay is a multifaceted platform that has grown into a national organization. After scaling the business and revolutionizing payments for residential and co-working markets, PlacePay was acquired by i3 Verticals in 2015. Ian developed his passion for product design and elegant solutions early in his career working on a small team as a key contributor at Visible World. He had the opportunity to share that passion and help inspire future technology professionals as a co-teacher for General Assembly, a pioneer in experiential education focused on the fundamental pillars of innovation, where he helped develop course curriculum and lectures.
