Currently supporting the HSCP and the Inverclyde Alcohol Drug Partnership on an interim basis.Leading in the development and delivery of strategic aspects of Inverclyde's Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) work to ensure local and national priorities and outcomes are met and that services meet the needs of the people in Inverclyde.Leading the ADP support team ensuring the provision of full and pro-active support to the Chair and members of Inverclyde Alcohol and Drug Partnership. Have responsibility in developing key pieces of work for Inverclyde ADP as well as supporting the wider ADP governance structure.

Secondment to the Corporate Policy Team (part time).The job is to support the delivery of Inverclyde’s Local Outcome Improvement Plan in order to secure continuous improvement in service and outcome delivery, through partnership working.Key Tasks include:-Support the development, improvement and delivery of the Inverclyde Local Outcome Improvement Plan (IOIP).-Monitor and manage information to inform key performance indicators, data quality, and projects that the Community Planning Partnership delivers through the IOIP.-Support lead officers in the delivery of outcomes ensuring that there are robust processes and systems for embedding the work of delivering the IOIP into the work programmes of the all the Community Planning partners.-Support the implementation of effective delivery plans and project management arrangements across the IOIP to ensure outcomes are achieved and benefits are delivered as planned. -Ensure that performance review mechanisms are in place to monitor the extent of progress in delivering the outcomes and to ensure that performance, projects and performance indicators are on track, and if not to identify where corrective action needs to take place. To prepare performance reports for key stakeholders including Scottish Government.-Benchmark Inverclyde’s performance in delivery of the outcomes against other CPPs and ensure that best practice is captured and appropriately used to support the Alliance partners to achieve citizen focused outcomes in the use of resources. -Act as the main point of contact for the IOIP Programme for both internal and external stakeholders, promoting clear and effective communication and ensuring high quality engagement outputs and outcomes are delivered. -Work within the Corporate Policy, Performance and Partnership team, supporting understanding of IOIP outcomes across the Council’s corporate and directorate planning processes.

Assist senior management in the collection of Information , data and the completion of returns relating to community safety.Review and co-ordinate the work of the community mediation service.Work closely with other team leaders within the Service to ensure that Service and Directorate aims and objectives are fulfilled.Work closely with the Community Safety Partnership to ensure that Partnership priorities are fulfilled.

I was a Director of the charity Inverclyde Peace Initiative (IPI) having between 2000 and 2013 and served as Chair between 2012 and 2013.The aim of Inverclyde Peace Initiative is to encourage the members of the Inverclyde community to recognize that conflict is an integral part of human development. We support the resolution of conflict through positive non-violent means, and in doing so, work towards a more peaceful and sustainable community where justice, fairness and self respect are promoted. The organisation ceased to exist in July 2013.IPI aims to:• Promote awareness of the positive means of conflict resolution in the community. • Promote educational opportunities for the use of positive conflict management for members of the community. • Support any other initiatives in the community who are working in conflict resolution.
