Returning to the Press Association in an improved position as a Chief Sub-Editor, I was given a role whereby I assisted with the running of various departments when they were in need, to ensure the most efficient processes were undertaken. As a reliable and quick proof-reader, I have also been tasked with increasing the quality of the department’s many high-profile clients – including TI Media, Radio Times and Sunday Times – by introducing new subbing processes, extensively rewriting copy and training new staff members to reach the required standards.I became a Chief Sub-Editor in the TI Media department, where I oversaw the production and continued development of three magazines. When not carrying out my primary role, I was frequently seconded to the Features department, where I wrote articles on a range of subjects. I also assisted the sports page-ready department with their Saturday football output, subbing pages for the Football League Paper and Non-League Paper.
