About Ian Hookway
Having worked in the Commercial and Corporate banking arena for 10 years, gaining valuable risk and front office experience across a number of different industry sectors, I moved into the Structured Finance world, specialising in Securitisation and SF Risk management. The need to develop a bespoke Internal Securitisation rating tool led me into Change Management and the world of Basel II. Further change programmes involved the development of PD, LGD and EAD tools, coupled with the development of operating processes that spanned the Corporate and wholesale bank of LBG. Expanded roles within Risk and Finance change allowed me to develop my managerial experience and build up my reputation of delivering on time and within budget, whilst championing the need to ensure that business benefits were always realised.Further senior management roles in the Commercial Real Estate Business Support Unit and as a Director of the Wholesale Risk Programme (both within LBG) provided additional experience and understanding in terms of developing teams. 2011 saw a change of direction in RBS and specifically focusing on the GBM (now M&IB) Risk Change Management world, where I have reccently been appointed as Portfolio Director. My goal is simple - getting the right people to do the right things at the right time. If I'm successful in achieving that goal, I shall have developed a high performance team that is energetic and fun. That represents an environment that I want to work in.Specialties: Automotive Industry; ABCP conduits; Regulatory (Advanced Basel) Risk; Change Management; PMO Creation and Management; PD / LGD / EAD model development and the creation of high performance teams
