I am responsible for the day to day running of the company website, which includes updating frequently with new products, news stories and listing of distributors that supply our equipment etc. I have recently lead the project of a total redesign of the company website, with the main goals to make the website more user friendly and make product information more easily located. I lead the design, function and copy used. Results have been very positive. I am also responsible for end of month reports on the current usage of the website, for which I use Google Analytics. I am also in charge of the social media which Lincat use (currently we have a blog and use Twitter). My current role also involves putting together marketing briefs to the R&D department in regards to new product developments. This is then followed up when the projects are complete with a literature brief to our design agency to put together a brochure. This includes layout, copy, photography and design ideas. The project is then seen through photography and finally to print. I have recently lead a whole range redesign for the 'Panther' range of hot cupboards. Newsletters, both written and electronic are also a key part of my role, writing in regards to new products (as above) along with promotions etc. Electronic newsletters are then reported on, given the software they are sent through. Another of my key roles is to look after the companies Sage CRM system as the administrator of all the other users along with using crystal reports. I make phone calls to our network of distributors and end users as a courtesy customer service call and to notify them of new products etc. I also have a number of administrative tasks which are done on a monthly basis. I use various software packages on a regular basis, including all Microsoft software, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, Sage CRM, Wordpress, Tweetdeck and Createsend, along with the CMS system for the Lincat website.

Mercury Appliances was a domestic range cooker manufacturer owned by Lincat Ltd, which was sold in September 2009 to AGA, my job role was made redundant. My main duties included accessing and updating the company website, with news stories and recipes, along with compiling electronic and written newsletters. I also played a part in the redesign of the company website and product brochures (before the company was sold) along with looking after sales leads. I was part of the customer service team which involved answering the phone to end users who needed product specs and information, along with dealing with product breakdown and placing service calls. I also processed sales orders and arranged deliveries of equipment.
