Supervised the detailed planning of engineering design works involving protection, control and communication requirements of various substation and transmission line projects. Coordinated with other engineering groups during detailed design stage that harmonized the design of all aspects of the project and resulted in the timely completion of the technical documents.Formulated effective design methodologies, introduced new technologies, planned and directed work activities according to approved programs that resulted in the reduction of time and cost.Evaluated and made final recommendation on various documents submitted by contractors and suppliers such as plans and specifications, taking into consideration the technical and economic parameters that resulted to optimum utilization of resources.Evaluated and made recommendations on the Technical Facility Studies submitted by the proponents of the new power plant for the connection of their generating units to NGCP’s Power Grid. The evaluation focused on the possibility of accommodating the newly generated capacity from the power plant in consideration of the stability, reliability, and operating characteristics of the Power Grid, such as Short Circuit Contributions, Fault Current, Voltage Level, Stability Level, etc. including Protection, Control, SCADA and Telecom. Acted as a technical member of several bidding committees that reviewed bidding documents, pre-qualified prospective contractors and evaluated bid proposals that ensured lowest complying and eligible bid.
