In the run up to RDR being implemented in Jan 2013 I am continuing my role as an Independent Financial Adviser ready to embrace the changes that will be introduced. I am working with Duchy IFA here in Truro a well established local practice, forward and progressive looking with strong connections to the local community.My areas of specialisation have been in pensions, investments, wealth creation and tax planning listing to my clients developing leadership, creative solutions and a strong relationship.

As Independent Financial Adviser I have gradually built my practice and areas of specialation. I am now fully qualified to the upgraded standards that are being introduced for all Financial Advisers by Financial Services Authority new regulations at the start of 2013

In the 10 years I worked for Prudential I did enjoy my job building up strong relations with all my clients and was able to increase my annual business year on year. I did take redundency in 1999 and started as Indepedent Financial Adviser and have looked forward ever since

Since the early 1970's I have worked in the engineering field in many and various locations in East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa and the Middle East on earth moving and construction equipment on open cast mines and main Dealerships. I become increasing involved in the financial side of my industry. I did ultimately become involved in buying and selling used Caterpillar equipment ensuring we maintained strict budgetary controls to support the profitability of our business. I did eventually return to UK in 1987, and after my experiences in the world of finance I did start work in Financial Services
