As the Deputy Under Secretary General of the DeKUT chapter of Kenya Model United Nations, I played a vital role in planning and executing MUN conferences. I assisted the Under Secretary General in overseeing the organizing committee, providing leadership and guidance to ensure a successful event. I managed specific committees, ensuring delegates were engaged and well-prepared for their roles.I led training sessions for delegates and staff on MUN procedures, rules of order, and effective debating techniques, including workshops on research and public speaking. I also coordinated logistical aspects and helped secure sponsorships and funding to maintain our budget.In addition to organizing our events, I collaborated with MUN chapters from different universities, participating in mock debates to enhance our members' skills and foster a sense of community. I worked closely with the communications director to spearhead outreach efforts and ensure effective communication within our club and with external stakeholders.Overall, my role as DUSG focused on supporting the USG and contributing to an organized, educational, and engaging experience for all participants.
