Has over 40 years experience in the leisure sector; With a unique background in the public, private, Local Authority and Charitable industries whilst working in a variety roles from CEO, COO, Director, Chairman or trustee, Ian can provide significant skill set to enhance a wide range of business either at local, national or international level; Has facility design skills which cover developing facilities to meet the needs of community sports development through to international athletes and Premiership Football players; Demonstrates a high level of commitment to cultural needs with Equality, Safeguarding, HR, Health & Safety being embedded in his values; Has been involved in the design and operation of 4 international venues, facilitated 26 sporting disciplines featuring athletes from over 50 countries; Has taken two organisations from £2m turnover to £10m; Was instrumental in the design & development of Huddersfield Town AFC Canalside training complex; Has taken a negative trading account -£50k to one of over £100k a year; Has been a Director responsible for the Youth Academy. Within 3 years 13 players had worn the first team shirt and 6 had been sold contributing over £2m income to the clubs balance sheet.
