Back ground in refurbishment of 18th & 19th century buildings spent 3yrs on Kings Parades Cambridge . During recession in early 1990s got into property maintenance ran the day to day and responsive maintenance for forest Heath South Suffolk .HAT property services responsible for various projects including MOD works,insurance repairs and office refurbishment. Currently working for sanctuary planned maintenance delivering kitchen and bathroom refurbishments and because of my technical building knowledge I am given the structural repairs to organise and deliver. ( Dream Job would be maintenance manager for a university in Cambridge)

Working with year 10-16teaching carpentry joinery bricklaying plumbing. This was a great learning environment for me, learning how to manage people who all had totally differing needs and and challenges. Also learned how to wood turn from Colin Parr who is a wood turning genius.

Day to day maintenance, small works. Responsible for organising planned maintenance and emergency response maintenance. Day to day site management. Later worked mainly on redevelopment of older town centre properties turning them into shops and flats. This included many structurally challenging projects.

I worked on the Kings parade & Bennetts street refurbishments and Learned a great deal about historical restoration, and returning buildings that had been redeveloped in the 1960's back to the way they should be enjoyed.

I worked on stansted Airport and various other projects. Including RAF/Army bases in East Anglia , work on housing sites as carpenter foreman

I Learned my craft whilst here attending Cambridge college of art and technology. I then continued on after qualifying. We worked in the local area and also on various stables around Newmarket.
