Developed and prototyped a natural gas powered radial engine for use in a portable 1MW electric power generator.Design, drafting, modeling and verification of the engine parts, assembly and generator system utilizing Solidworks CAD & Cosmos FEA. Optimized the dynamic balancing of the reciprocating assembly by writing a simulation program using MATLAB.Specified geometric tolerance, material specification and treatments on part drawings while working in collaboration with suppliers to improve producability and minimize cost.

Designed built and flew a ballon satellite payload as part of a team of ASU students competing against other AZ universities. The design goal was to carry scientific payloads to 100kft+ via helium balloons while conducting atmospheric research throughout the flight.Integrated all components within the payload structure using composites and aluminum materials to withstand rapid temperature and pressure changes.Presented results of the design process during the NASA Space Grant Symposium held in May of 2006 at the University of Arizona.
