I have 30 years hands-on experience in Immigration across all operational aspects - border officer, overseas visa officer, enforcement officer in-country, presenting officer in the law courts and trained forgery officer. I have also been an Information Management/Security and Data Protection Act/Data Sharing Policy lead. On top of that, I have held specialist operational and design positions in biometrics and identity assurance, leading to a secondment to Citizenship & Immigration Canada as the UK Government's Biometrics and visa outsourcing expert for their (subsequently) successful Temporary Resident Biometrics Program.Within the UK, I have a proven track record of successfully turning around poor performing operational units, achieving more for less, the highest levels of customer satisfaction and streamlining processes and inspiring and motivating team members to achieve more. Leadership, changing work culture, processes and transforming operational delivery are strong points. In recent years, I have fulfilled the roles of Product Owner and now Lead Product Manager, overseeing large-scale and complex operational transformation via new digital IT systems, using Agile methodology.
