I worked on a pilot project for Lowe's called the Energy Center. My main responsibilities included creating a database call center associates could intuitively access and understand to support questions about products housed within the Energy Center, developing training and reference materials for store associates to help them sell products (including high-priced, complicated items like solar panel systems), and physically conducting training in the stores to help simplify how DIY solar systems work, how to install them, and how customers can realize monetary benefits from them. I became a subject matter expert on the products housed within the Energy Center, which also proved valuable in working with vendors to understand their products and how they may fit in with existing products. I also helped support an event whereby vendors visited Lowe's and pitched their products to an audience of executives.
