As a teacher's assistant for Dan Baker's CDAE 273, Project Development and Planning, course I managed administrative duties, such as grading, organizing class periods, and drafting assignments. I tutored students individually and in-groups upon their request in the creation and use of project tools, grant writing, budgeting, and evaluative tools. I managed student teams as they completed the class' Service Learning Project of building 24 community gardens in and around Burlington VT. In this function, I acted as an interface between Dan Baker, the student groups, our community partner the Vermont Community Garden Network, and community representatives. Lastly, I assisted students as they evaluated their projects and prepared presentations of their project evaluations.

As an intern for the innovative Bernie Sanders Out-of-State team during the lead-up to the New Hampshire primary I recruited and organized grassroots volunteers from the states surrounding New Hampshire to donate their time spreading awareness in the state of New Hampshire. I curated relationships with the most passionate volunteers in order to facilitate the optimal relationship to suit the campaigns needs. During the Get-Out-the-Vote campaign in New Hampshire I worked under a regional director to organize teams of volunteers and ease the administrative workload. I taught volunteers successful canvassing methods and constantly directed specifically skilled volunteers to their most useful applications.

Hinesburg, Vermont

As a farmhand at Lt. Governor David Zuckerman's Full Moon Farm I worked 9-5 hours learning and performing the requirements of New England organic vegetable farming. My general duties were to weed, transplant, harvest vegetables, prepare vegetables for sale and maintain irrigation systems. I was specifically entrusted with maintaining the landscape of the farm, barn, and surrounding areas. Lastly, as a result of knowledge and friendliness, I was routinely chosen to work at CSA share pick-up locations and the Burlington Farmers' Market Stand.

As a canvasser for the Vermont Public Interest Research group I was primarily responsible for collecting petition signatures and fundraising for the 2015 Summer Carbon Tax Awareness campaign. I successfully held the summer record for most new members (meaning a first-time minimum $30 contribution) signed in a one-week period. In order to raise funds knocking on a stranger's door, I had to have a calm and assuring presence while simultaneously maintaining control of any conversation. To perform my job at the highest level, I translated the complex technical jargon of a Carbon Tax into easily understandable and accessible concepts that, most importantly, seemed achievable as a direct result of an on-the-spot contribution to my organization.
