Ian Perry is a Managing Director at Hospitality Projects a division of WI International Limied. At the time, we were a rapidly growing business, but lacked strong operational and manufacturing processes or controls, and were also sorely lacking in compliance, health and safety, and HR policy. The difference Ian made to our business is astounding. He designed robust processes to ensure efficiency and maximise output, as well as implementing strong health and safety controls, and HR compliance. He managed our move to a new factory in 2014, and led the selection of new machinery, as well as securing a strong supply chain both in the UK and abroad. He was also instrumental in suggesting operational space requirements, allowing our business to grow 5 fold within a comparatively small footprint. As Joint Managing Director, Ian also absorbed the financial management of the business. Ian has strong people management skills, and is well trained in lean manufacturing, and is a very safe pair of hands to ensure a business operates efficiently and legally, as well as driving positive operational and manufacturing developments.He also managed our finances through the pandemic when we were forced to shut for 8 months out of 24, which is obviously a tremendous feat, whilst then managing unprecedented raw material increases and supply chain issues. More than the necessary safe pair of hands however, he drives continuous improvement and has demonstrated the ability to turn a business from inefficient, to highly efficient.
