Front-End Engineer @ Pinterest, Growth
CurrentAs a Front End Engineer at Pinterest within the Merchant Revenue Growth Team, My role is to identify growth opportunities to base data-driven experimentation through robust frontend development. Here are some key responsibilities and contributions:- Data-Driven Experimentation: Utilized Querybook to run queries for opportunity size and analyzed past experiment results to find growth opportunities. This data-driven approach fuels the generation of hypotheses for new experiments, laying the foundation for effective A/B testing strategies.- Feature Development: Development of front-end features aimed at enhancing user experiences and boosting revenue. These features underwent meticulous design, development, and testing phases to ensure quality and functionality.- Experimental Rollouts: Orchestrated controlled experiment deployments by initially releasing features to 5% of users in the control group and 5% in the treatment group. Gradually ramped up the experiments to gather actionable insights for decision-making.- Results Analysis: Collaborated closely with the team to analyze experiment results, evaluating their impact on key performance metrics. Informed decisions on whether to proceed with feature shipping based on data-driven findings.- Test Automation: Proficiently employed Cypress for integration testing to ensure the robustness of frontend components. Additionally, utilized Jest and React Testing Library for unit testing to maintain code reliability.
