I am a current PhD student in English Literature at The University of Southern Mississippi with primary research interests in C. S. Lewis, Transatlantic Modernism, and the apocalyptic. I recently completed my MA in English Literature at The University of Southern Mississippi and defended a thesis entitled “When Time Shall Surrender: Disability, Crip Time, and John Clare’s Language of Annihilation.” I was graduate of William Carey University with a double major in English and Religion in 2019, and completed an interdisciplinary honors thesis entitled “The Trans-pig-uration: An Examination of Flannery O’Connor’s Literary Theological imagination.” I have presented my work at various regional and national conferences including the Southeast Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA), College English Association (CEA), the Southeastern Conference on Christianity and Literature (SECCL), and am a regular presenter and attendee at the Mississippi Philological Association (MPA). I currently serve as the Editorial Assistant for the Publications of the Mississippi Philological Association (POMPA) since February 2020. I have also served as the Editorial Assistant for the Southern Quarterly from August 2019-May 2020. When I’m not in the classroom, I serve as the church pianist and Minister of Education at Kokomo Baptist Church and spend time playing violin, piano, and attempting to learn pipe organ.
