Ian is CEO of South Haven Group which heads up a group of privately owned family companies involved in investment, development and management which has been operating successfully since 1986.South Haven’s main area of focus is in the property sector with holdings of commercial, retail, rural and residential property. Strong personal in-house management of the holdings is a difference that sets South Haven apart from other investment companies. South Haven specialises in taking difficult or problem investments and transforming them into top performing assets. The investment division is continually searching for areas, which will provide the shareholders greater returns, while maintaining a secure risk profile. South Haven also provides pro-active management focused on investment performance. They offer their tenants committed, professional and reliable service and work hard to build long term relationships.Development is an area that is often driven by the investment arm’s need for new investments and the constant pressure to find new ways and areas to facilitate investment. By developing new investments directly, South Haven avoids the competition.The Construction Division is used to carry out all building works from new projects to refurbishments and maintenance. By having their own in-house Construction team and Project Management team, they can be more competitive in the developmental analysis while still providing the utmost of quality projects. Other areas of expertise are in consulting on all areas of property, retailing and small business management.Ian was educated at Scotch College Melbourne and later completed a Degree in Business Accounting. He has a Diploma of Company Directorship with an Order of Merit, is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Member of the Australian Institute of Management, a Member of the Family Business Association of Australia, and a Registered Domestic Builder Manager.
