As a distiller at Holyrood Distillery, I have been producing and monitoring the spirit quality, managing the fermentation and distillation processes, and ensuring the compliance with health and safety standards for the past ten months. I have over six years of experience in the whisky industry, working in various roles and settings, from bars and visitor centres to distilleries and production facilities. I have a BA in Tourism with Marketing Management and a HND in Travel & Tourism, which enable me to understand the customer needs and preferences, and to promote the distillery's brand and products. I also have strong skills in public speaking and problem solving, which I developed through my previous roles as a duty manager and a bar manager at Holyrood Distillery and The Scotch Whisky Experience. In these roles, I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations, leading and training the staff, maintaining the stock and the bar area, and providing expert advice and guidance to the visitors. My core competencies are attention to detail, creativity, and teamwork, which I apply to every aspect of my work as a distiller. I am passionate about whisky and its history, culture, and diversity, and I am committed to creating high-quality and innovative products that reflect the spirit and values of Holyrood Distillery.
